Bike-specific solutions for dynamic roads and adventure travel
Yamaha motorcycles cover very different riding experiences – from agile Hyper Naked bikes to lightweight adventure models and comfortable touring machines. SW-MOTECH develops bike-specific accessories that extend luggage capacity, protection and comfort while preserving the function and individual character of each motorcycle.
The Yamaha MT-09 combines compact dimensions, direct handling and an upright sitting position. Accessories should extend the suitability for everyday use without making the motorcycle unnecessarily bulky. A small tank bag or a tail bag creates space for the essentials. Discreet carriers allow for additional volume for weekend trips.
Model-specific crash pads and axle protectors can protect exposed areas while blending into the naked bike design. Ergonomics and cockpit components should maintain freedom of movement and the reduced character of the MT-09.
The Yamaha Ténéré 700 has different requirements. It combines low weight with long-distance and off-road potential. Luggage and protection should therefore remain robust without adding unnecessary complexity. Model-specific side carriers carry modular travel systems; Waterproof soft luggage is suitable for changing loads and uneven surfaces.
Side cases create dimensionally stable storage space when lockability and a solid structure are important. A top case adds easy-access volume for road-oriented touring, while the tank bag keeps documents and electronics in the cockpit area.
MT-09 and Ténéré 700 show why a luggage recommendation cannot apply to the entire Yamaha model range. Compact street motorcycles benefit from lightweight, removable solutions that maintain their silhouette. Adventure and touring models can carry larger systems but still require balanced weight distribution.
Heavy objects belong low and close to the center of the motorcycle. Before combining multiple pieces of luggage, you should check the passenger footrests, seat location and distance to the exhaust. The model-specific carrier ensures that the bag or case is intended for the motorcycle.
On the Ténéré 700, crash bars and engine guard protect exposed areas on uneven surfaces or in the event of a fall. Discreet crash pads and axle protectors are often a better fit for the MT-09 and other road-oriented models. The components must be combined in such a way that ground clearance, lean angle and maintenance access are maintained.
Handlebar positioning, footrests and controls adapt selected Yamaha models to your body position. Navigation holders and accessories for the power supply keep devices safe, easy to read and ready for use.
Luggage changes width and weight distribution, protective parts can share common mounting areas, and cockpit accessories must match the handlebar and instrument layout. A clear primary use case therefore makes selection easier and prevents components without practical added value.
Start with the model and year of manufacture and then add the appropriate equipment - compact for the MT-09 or travel-oriented for the Ténéré 700. motorcycle luggage, motorcycle protection and motorcycle ergonomics provide further guidance.
