Luggage, protection and ergonomics for road and off-road riding
KTM motorcycles stand for performance, precise handling and a strong focus on adventure riding. SW-MOTECH develops bike-specific accessories that increase travel capacity, protect exposed components and support control without compromising the motorcycle’s purposeful character.
The KTM 890 Adventure combines manageable dimensions with real touring and off-road suitability. Your setup can remain light and modular - for example with waterproof soft luggage or compact cases for changing terrain. The KTM 1290 Super Adventure offers more space and long-distance comfort, forming a good basis for larger luggage systems and extended trips.
Both motorcycles move between asphalt and demanding surfaces, but do not have the same mounting points. That's why choosing based on model and year of manufacture is more reliable than just relying on the name Adventure.
Model-specific side carriers connect the KTM with the selected luggage. side cases offers dimensionally stable and lockable storage space for long journeys. Waterproof soft bags keep the weight lower and adapt to irregular loads. A top case creates easily accessible storage space for road-oriented tours, while a compact tank bag keeps documents and electronics close at hand.
Away from paved roads, volume must be weighed against width and weight. Heavy objects should lie low and close to the center of the motorcycle. If you are traveling as a couple, you also need to take the seat space and access to the passenger footrests into account.
Model-specific crash bars protect vulnerable areas on the engine and fairing, while an engine guard provides additional coverage from below. Hand protectors, axle protectors and crash pads complement the system according to the route and particularly exposed components.
A coordinated protection concept makes more sense than as many individual parts as possible. Ground and lean angle clearance, exhaust routing and the compatibility of upper and lower protection must be maintained. The product pages show the intended application and required mounting parts.
Adventure rides often alternate between long seated sections and standing control on loose surfaces. handlebar positioning, footrests, gearshift and foot brake levers help to adapt selected KTM models to your body posture and control position.
Navigation holders and accessories for the power supply support route guidance in the cockpit. Despite vibration, the components should be secure, accessible with gloves and positioned without affecting the instruments.
Luggage, protection and ergonomics influence each other. A larger case system changes width and weight distribution while protective components may occupy available mounting space. First define the main use and then check whether the components can be used together.
This means the 890 Adventure remains light and agile when needed, while the 1290 Super Adventure has additional touring capacity. Start with model and year of manufacture. Our guides for motorcycle luggage, motorcycle protection and motorcycle ergonomics offer further assistance.
