Built for the Long Haul
Side carriers provide a stable foundation for side cases and side bags – on tours, in everyday use, or away from paved roads. SW-MOTECH develops bike-specific systems from high-strength steel that secure luggage and fit closely to the motorcycle’s contours. Depending on the motorcycle and luggage setup, removable or discreetly integrated systems are available. The choice is guided by the required case or bag series, appropriate adapter, and compatibility with the motorcycle model.
The PRO side carrier is made from 2.5 mm steel and designed specifically for each model to sit close to the motorcycle. It is engineered for high loads and can be removed completely using QUICK-LOCK. Adapter kits provide compatibility with selected cases from SW-MOTECH and other manufacturers, as well as AERO ABS, SysBag bags, and RotopaX canisters.
The EVO case carrier also uses a removable QUICK-LOCK mechanism. It accepts TRAX aluminum cases and AERO ABS side cases; adapter kits are available for additional case brands. Which side cases can be fitted depends on the carrier and adapter.
The V-LOC side carrier combines a flat, bike-specific design with particularly convenient handling. The integrated Fidlock® magnetic system automatically guides the side bag into its intended position as it is attached. It then audibly engages with the mechanical locking mechanism. Forged steel carriers and model-specific connecting elements create a stable link to the motorcycle. Depending on the bike, carriers are available for the left or right side, while an optional anti-theft device adds further security.
The SLC side carrier is designed for retro motorcycles, naked bikes, and lightweight sport bikes. Its quick-release mechanism accepts Legend Gear side bags, URBAN ABS side cases, or SysBag bags. For selected Harley-Davidson models, the SLH side bag carrier mounts to the original points on the fender strut and accepts Legend Gear LH1 and LH2 bags.
The bike-specific construction is based on precise vehicle measurements. Rugged manufacturing and corrosion-resistant surfaces support long-term use in changing weather conditions. For lightweight textile solutions, it is also worth looking at saddlebags.
